Redbridge Institute is an adult education centre 5 minutes walk away from Gants Hill station on the Central Line. We have an excellent arts programme on offer, including one day Saturday courses.
Courses include painting, life drawing, botanical illustration, mosaics, stained glass, stone carving, pottery, clothesmaking, creative writing, singing, guitar and keyboard. We also offer dance and fitness classes including ballroom, salsa, bollywood,and zumba.

The Sculpture Workshop
Is for the beginner and intermediate alike and is designed to encourage you, to learn new skills, to be inspired and have fun. In the relaxed atmosphere of the studio you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas with Sarah's guidance. We will discuss your ideas and advise you on how best to approach them.
Sarah offers a choice of 3, 4 or 5 day workshops. So if you're interested in a particular technique or skill, such as mould making, armature building or modelling in different materials, then this course is for you and can be tailored to your needs.

The Rowantree Workshop
The Rowantree Workshop is set in the idyllic village of Nassington, Northamptonshire.
Learn new craft skills and be inspired to start a creative journey of your own, on one of our workshops, short courses or weekly classes.

Rothay Manor
Rothay Manor has been running Antiques holidays for over 18 years in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, and this year is running the same holiday twice at the start of the year. The holidays are designed for people with an interest in fine art and antiques, with the emphasis being on a pleasant and relaxing time in the company of fellow enthusiasts, rather than formal teaching. The Royal School of Needlework

Beryl Ware Studio
Beryl holds classes and workshops aimed at upholding her make do and mend ethics. Come along and discover what our grandparents took for granted, from dressmaking to pattern cutting, from crochet to knitting, and of course all classes are supported by lashings of tea and cake!
Classes are held in an old chairmakers’ cottage in High Wycombe that Beryl has lovingly converted into her studio. Classes are small and intimate, with a maximum of four to eight students.

Get your hands dirty at The School of Stuff. We offer classes in furniture related crafts, including upholstery, cabinetmaking and restoration. We are working craft practitioners and experienced teachers. Tuition is rigorous but informal, with small class sizes. Quilt with Jenny
Jenny produces a variety of nationwide workshops and seminars passing on her knowledge, skills and her enthusiasm for quilting.
Students are encouraged and taught how to make their own quilting patterns from scratch, using traditional methods and often using domestic items and antique quilts as a starting point. Jenny's workshops are delivered in a friendly, easy to understand way. Her specialist areas of quilting knowledge are Durham and Welsh quilting.
Jenny will be returning to the V&A to teach a weekend course on Sashiko quilting on 3rd and 4th July 2011. Plus Jenny’s instructional DVD’s will be available from early July.
