Landscape photographer Joe Cornish and artist Kane Cunningham have revisited the fabulous collection of landscape paintings at Scarborough Art Gallery. Inspired by the work of H. B. Carter, Atkinson Grimshaw and Ivon Hitchens, they will explore the context, tradition and future of landscape painting and photography in very different ways.
Working individually and collaboratively to push their work in fresh directions and in response to our rapidly changing coastline. We invite politicians, geologists, walkers and visual artists to tell us how the landscape inspires them. Join the debate and enjoy a breath of fresh air.

Visit the home of Sir Merton and Lady Russell-Cotes, a Victorian seaside villa set on Bournemouth’s dramatic East Cliff. Originally designed as a ‘live in’ museum by Merton and Annie, two Victorian collectors and travel enthusiasts, it holds collections of international status and reflects the Victorian fascination with world cultures.
Comprising contemporary art galleries and museum, a licensed café, shop and children’s area, it is an ideal place for learning, exploring and socialising. It has an exciting programme of events, special exhibitions and affordable art. It also provides the perfect venue for special occasions, with its unique atmosphere and historic setting.
