Rebecca's Aix comes to the Selvedge Spring Fair at Chelsea Old Town Hall this weekend

Just in time to coincide with our May textile special, the Selvedge Spring Fair is coming to Chelsea Old Town Hall this weekend.

There will be a wealth of bits to browse, from antique fabrics, which are as lovely to feel as they are to look at, to pretty haberdashery for projects. One designer to keep an eye out for is Rebecca Engels. Her designs combine a fresh French look with a practical twist - think bags, blankets and cushions made from antique hemp, linen and bits of old tapestry and Liberty fabric.

We have a sneaking suspicion that it might be rather hard to leave her stall, Rebecca's Aix (named for the region of Aix-en-Provence in the South of France where Rebecca spends part of the year), empty-handed – we’re already tempted by this stack of kantha quilts!

Rebecca’s Aix, (stall number B34) will be at the Selvedge Spring Fair, Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3 5EE on Friday 4th April, 11am-5pm, 6pm-8pm and Saturday 5th April, 10am-5pm. Entry, £7.50.
