Newbury Antiques & Collectors Fair expands this month

IACF's Newbury Antiques & Collectors Fair is expanding to become even more of a salvage hunter's dream

For the first time this month IACF's Newbury Antiques & Collectors Fair is changing from its one day format on a Monday to a two day fair on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th May. It will also be taking place at a new venue - the capacious Newbury Showground.

Those that envy Nottinghamshire IACF's Newark Fair, which is the largest antiques fair in Europe (and that you can find our essential guide to here), will find over 250 stands at the Newbury fair with a particular leaning towards salvage and decorative antiques. Old theatre lights, galvanised buckets, enamelware, quirky toys and pretty iron benches are the order of the day.

'With a great new venue and such fantastic facilities we have decided to expand the fair into two days,' says Rachel Everett, operations manager for IACF. 'As it will take place on a Friday and Saturday we'll be able to offer the trade, as well as a greater number of the public, the chance to attend the fair.'

Children are admitted free, and dogs are welcome. Tickets are £10 before 10am on Friday and £5 thereafter. H&A readers can buy two tickets for the price of one with our fairs supplement, free with the June issue of Homes & Antiques.
