Your chance to be on TV

Paul Martin and the team will visit Manchester and Suffolk next month to value your treasures for the popular BBC antiques show Flog It!

They will be visiting the Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Manchester on Friday 8th March and the National Trust's stunning Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds on Thursday 14th March.

Members of the public are invited to bring along the antiques and collectables they might be interested in selling. Once valued, the owner and team of experts decide whether it should go forward for auction. If the item is chosen, it is sold a few weeks later – often with the owner making a tidy sum. Everyone who goes along to the day will receive a valuation – even if their antiques are not chosen to go to auction.

Previous shows have unearthed such items as a ceramic bowl, which was bought at a carboot sale for £4 and sold at auction for £1,500.

To be in with a chance of appearing on the weekday show, take your antiques and collectables along to one of the venues between 9.30am and 4pm. For more details or if you have a large piece of furniture or other big item, email flogit@bbc.co.uk, phone 0117 974 7839 or write to Flog It, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LR.
