Next week’s fair features 14 of the UK’s top graduate designer’s collections
A week today the doors of the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair will open to the usual array of imaginative and beautiful design work, plus a showcase of degree collections from the top creative graduates chosen by the GNCCF’s curator, Grace Whowell.
Highlights include Jessica Swallow’s bunches of lampshades strung together to make simple chandeliers (above left) and Joshua Coupe’s sculptural ceramics (above right). We also love Melanie Kew’s bright, stackable semi-porcelain vases (below) which make a gorgeous line up on any window sill.
Ann-Marie Franey, one of the event’s organisers, calls the work hugely inspiring. “We are all really excited to see how well their work is received,” she says.
Don’t forget, H&A will be at the fair, selling subscriptions and some lovely homewares. Do come and say hello!
