A fabulous day of vintiquing in Abington Park, Northampton
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Vintage In The Park
, a splendid event set in Abington Park Museum where traders mixed in with the exhibits. Fair organiser Trevor Marshall (centre) was delighted that the mayor and mayoress of Northampton, Roger and Jenny Conroy, came to show their support for the event, too.
Trading next to me were Mark & Louisa of Sugden And Daughters
who sell a great array of upcycled goods, vintage, antiques and salvage items. They have a concession at My Little Vintage
in Earls Barton run by Julia Chapman (pictured centre), who also puts on vintage and handmade markets - the next one will be on Saturday 18th May at Nene Court.
Sally Selwood from One Fat Hen
bought some sweet crochet pieces from Suzanne Chopping of Hearts N Kisses
to make into summer bunting. Sally is another trader/maker-turned-fair-organiser who runs Yardley Hastings Vintage Fair, which will be on 12th May.
Jo Gladville of Lost Property Vintage
sold one of her milk bottles to a lady whose father had designed the embossed advert on the front of it. ‘She was delighted,’ said Jo.
Homes & Antiques will be visiting the following fairs in April:
(Please note, this is the postponed 23rd March event)
