The producers of ITV's Secret Dealers are looking for people with antiques to sell
Time for a spring clean? With ITV’s Secret Dealers on the hunt for antiques, it's a good time to raid the attic.
Each show features three rival antiques dealers who go head to head on the hunt for pieces in private homes that they can sell. The dealers look around the houses leaving sealed bids in envelopes next to objects that take their fancy. The bids are opened by the owner, who decides whether to sell the piece or hang on to it.
Filming for the new series has just begun – and with a bit of a boom, we hear. A pair of Royal Worcester vases and a Royal Worcester ewer, all designed by Charles Baldwyn and dating from 1901 to 1903, have been sold for £9,000.
To continue the treasure hunt, ITV is currently looking for homeowners to take part in the series. Anyone who has around eight to 10 pieces that they are willing to sell are invited to apply by calling 0117 970 7674 or emailing email@example.com with a list of their objects.
ITV’s Secret Dealers is set to air in either November or December.
