Calling all collectors!

Producers of a new BBC Two show are on the hunt for enthusiastic collectors

Producers of a new BBC Two show are on the hunt for enthusiastic collectors

Do you hoard old perfume bottles? Or are garden tools more your thing? Whatever you collect, the producers of a new BBC Two show want to hear from you.

Presented by Antiques Roadshow expert Mark Hill, the show, Collectaholics, will delve into the country’s most extensive amateur collections, with experts on hand to offer tidbits of social history and tips on curating. Filming starts this month and you and your collection could be selected to appear on the show.

'We want to speak to anyone who has a passion for collecting, from those who are constantly searching for that elusive final piece to those whose collection is taking over their home and who want help to display, curate or clear out some of their prized possessions,' says producer Karen Browne. 'We're on the hunt for people who can talk about their collections from the very first piece.'

Karen and her team will welcome all kinds of different objects. A recent pilot for the show included 1940s memorabilia, watercolours and an assembly of late Victorian dolls.

Of course, we'd love to hear from you too for the Homes & Antiques collecting pages (drop us an email here) but if you hanker after TV fame, this could be the opportunity for you. For more information about how you could be involved in the show, email or call 020 7013 4194.
