The popular Chelsea Antiques Fair takes place at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London this week, 23rd-27th March. As well as rare scent bottles, tortoiseshell boxes, paintings, vintage collectables and Grand Tour pieces, you'll also find a collection of photographs by Emil Otto Hoppé (1878-1972) waiting to be snapped up.
Offered by the photographer's grandson and antiques dealer Richard Hoppé, the 20 works include striking potraits of Rudyard Kipling, Marlene Dietrich (pictured), Thomas Hardy and The Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyons, later the Queen Mother.
This is the last collection of Hoppé photographs to be offered by the family and coincides with a major retrospective exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, 'Hoppe Portraits: Society, Studio and Street' running until 30th May.
