Bookworms will be spoilt for choice at this sale of rare prints, maps and first edition books. From Milton’s Paradise Lost, illustrated by John Martin in two volumes from 1827 (£2,500-£3,500), to a signed and inscribed first edition of Wallis Simpson’s 1956 autobiography The Heart Has Its Reasons (£100-£200) this sale has something for literary lovers of all means and ages.
 
We’re huge Jane Austen fans and will be keeping a close eye on this three-volume first edition of her romantic novel Emma (£4,000-£6,000), pictured, which features an inscription dated 1869.
 
The sale also includes first editions of Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Pigling Bland (£100-£150) and Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book (£50-£80).
