The team behind BBC's Cash in the Attic have launched a new antiques valuation app
Here’s a new way to get your antiques valued on the go.
Cash in the Attic, the BBC’s much-loved antiquing programme, has released a new app for iPad and iPhone that enables antiques hunters to get pieces valued while out and about.
All you have to do is upload a photo or video of the antique in question (pictured, below left) and then fill in as many details about the piece as you can (pictured, below right). You then send it off for a valuation from one of Cash in the Attic’s 20 experts and they get back to you within 48 hours.
If you want more instantaneous information, the app also comes with over 15,000 clips from the show that you can search by keyword.
‘Cash in the Attic has entertained millions of people across the world [the show has been transmitted to 170 countries worldwide] and now we will use our expertise to directly help mobile and tablet users in their search for antique treasure,' says antiques expert and Cash in the Attic presenter, Jonty Hearnden.
The app is free to download from the iTunes store and each valuation costs £6.99.
