Alice Roberton enjoys a day of vintage and handmade goodness in South Gloucestershire
Chipping Sodbury’s town hall was a hive of festive activity last Saturday when it hosted yet another fabulous Vintage & Handmade fair. If you appreciate jewel-toned vintage baubles, pretty textiles, kitsch reindeer, hand-crafted fairies and felted animals, then this is a fair to warm your cockles.
I loved Louise Taylor Bowen’s delightful handmade jewellery, accessories and delicate things with which to decorate your home. Louise is inspired by nature, combining vintage lace with acorns, feathers and moss found in the countryside. She describes her makes as ‘a happy mix of pretty and natural’.
I couldn't resist stopping to stroke Jenny Barnett’s cute felted animals as I was doing the rounds. Jenny, who specialises in needle felt, sells fabulous felting kits and runs workshops.
