With the new term starting this week, we take a trip down memory lane...

With shoes shone and uniforms pressed for the new term this week, the H&A office have come over all nostalgic on seeing all the vintage-inspired back-to-school home décor arriving in the shops.

Rose & Grey’s autumn collection takes us right back to Malory Towers with Fifties style glasses perfect for break time milk (above left, £12 for six) and weathered oak stools inspired by the chemistry lab (above right, £135). Its wheelable apothecary table (below left, £615) with wipe-clean chalkboards on the drawers is just what’s needed for an autumn clear-up.

If old school style is your thing, then Paperchase has a brilliant range of retro print organisers (below right, £7) and don’t miss Habitat’s 'Array' wall clock (bottom right, £45), which could have come straight out of art class. And, of course, you can’t beat The Cambridge Satchel Company, which has just introduced its new mini size (8.5in across; bottom left, £125), for a good leather schoolbag.
