White Waltham Airfield’s Retro Festival

What better to do of a sunny weekend than a spot of time travelling?

This time last year we ran a competition for a VIP experience weekend to the Retro Festival at White Waltham Airfield near Maidenhead. Unfortunately, as you may well remember, the summer weather was none too kind and the organisers were forced to cancel. We were excited to hear then, that this year the event will be going ahead on 9th to 11th August and the forecast is looking bright.

The festival promises plenty of vintage fun with sellers of collectable clothes, midcentury furniture stalls and retro food and drink from cupcakes to hot dogs – there are even rumours of Babycham. For petrolheads, the highlight will be the display of over 1,000 classic cars and the handy Auto Jumble for those elusive spare parts and rare car memorabilia.

And of course, in true festival style, the real party begins in the evening with cabaret acts, lindy hopping and rock n’roll bands all on the line up. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Retro Festival, White Waltham Airfield, Maidenhead, SL6 3NJ. 9th - 11th August 2013.

Weekend tickets £42; day tickets £12 - £21
