This is a brass bowl. I have only been able to locate one other that is quite similar and it was from 1890. My boyfriend's great grandparents found this buried in a dirt floor house along side train tracks in Northern British Columbia. They have passed it down ever since, which is now in my possession. It is hand carved. The only reason they found it was because a corner of it was sticking out of the dirt. Very interesting. I wonder who buried it, and who carved it. Amazing things you find in the middle of nowhere, from along time ago. Any thoughts welcome.
