I have got a 50 gallon fish tank from my friend. He had it all set up when he sold it to me. He drained it the night before i picked it up and I cleaned it up a bit with hot water and set it up at my house. It was dry for maybe a day and a half. So my question is really how long will the bacteria live out of water and will it have survived in the filters if they stayed damp?
