Which type of filter do I need?

Postby lcbondsy » Tue Apr 06, 2010 10:59 am

I will be treating my whole tank with Ich medication. The instructions say to remove all carbon filter. My question is whether it would be a good idea to use a mechanical filter while using the medicine. I currently have the Marineland Magnum 300 canister filter. You can take out the carbon container and replace it with a filter used for water polishing. Should I do this, or just aeration?

Dear, I have a house in Cyprus and want to rent out with help of any Rent property Cyprus service provider. My filter system is working fine since I've shifted here. Use only good brands whenever you think of buying.

Does your old filter have a product number on it? It might read something like: 4396841? I would look for the product number and call the manufacturer for the filter replacement. You could always try and take it to a home improvement store and see if they can help you too! Good luck!
