Our July 2023 issue is here, and this month's issue is filled to the brim with eclectic houses and interesting antiques...

We’re familiar with pop-up restaurants and lifestyle stores, but how about antiques pop-ups? Alice Roberton reports on the rise of informal shopping events in dealers’ homes, where customers can browse and buy while enjoying a glass of prosecco or cup of tea.

We also gear up for London Art Week with three trails you can follow to maximise your gallery time. Our houses, ranging from a Georgian townhouse in Bath to an apartment in Finland, which uses an unusual colour palette from the norm, are all eclectic and full of clever touches to admire and inspire.

And, finally, we pay tribute to Judith Miller who died in April. As a long-time contributor to H&A and a regular on the Antiques Roadshow, not to mention her annual Miller’s Antiques Handbook & Price Guide, Judith was the queen of the antiques world.

In this issue many of her friends and colleagues, from Fiona Bruce to Mark Hill, share their memories of her sense of fun, warmth and generosity of spirit.
