Works sporting Damien Hirst’s signature are fetching millions these days, but a rare book by the artist goes on sale next week for a modest £500.
The first edition, published in 1997, features numerous colour illustrations, including pop-ups, overlays and moveable parts and will be auctioned on Thursday (28th January) at Dominic Winter in Gloucestershire.
Entitled I want to spend the rest of my Life Everywhere, with Everyone, One to One, Always, Forever, Now, the book is a piece of art and an insight into Hirst’s work. Bidding starts at £500.

The auction of artwork from the last two centuries also features a rare landscape painting by Dorothea Sharp, one of the most exciting impressionist artists of the 20th century, an abstract oil painting by Gillian Ayres, one of the leading British abstract painters of her generation, and a watercolour by Georges  Barbier, one of the great French illustrators of the early 20th century.
