All aboard for the Swindon Roadshow!
The first lady to join the queue did so at an astonishing 4.30am and by mid morning it was snaking through the building and out through the grounds. Thousands of visitors brought in their treasures in a packed day that was full of delights and a good few surprises too. Among the highlights were the most valuable things ever seen on a Roadshow, a doll that made Roadshow history and a ring found buried in a field that had Geoffrey Munn's heart racing. Add in a rare silver mug, pieces of Queen Victoria's birthday cake and a train plate found in a skip and worth a small fortune and you'll see why cast and crew all finished the day beaming.
We'll run the full stories - and some unscreened finds too - to tie in with the new series on air in Autumn, so to make sure you don't miss out, click here to subscribe. And if you fancy going along to a Roadshow yourself, the next one is this Thursday in Saltaire. Click here for details and a full list of dates.
