Step into the exciting world of the top salerooms in an new series from Sky Arts

The yellow Rolls Royce driven by Robert Redford in The Great Gatsby, a collection of Churchill memorabilia assembled by the American millionaire Steve Forbes, Faberge cigarette cases made for the Russian Imperial Court and now sought after by Russian oligarchs in London, all these and more go under the hammer on Sky Arts’ new series Auction.

Starting on Sunday 5th December at 9pm, the show visits several of the world’s most prestigious auction houses alongside smaller specialist salesrooms and country house clearances to showcase a world of frenzied bidding, art masterpieces and surprising finds including, almost unbelievably, some of Princess Diana’s dresses recycled from the bin.

Auction is on Sky Arts 2 on Sunday at 9pm from Sunday 5th December until 6 February. See sky.com/arts
