Not long now! Vintage descends on London this Friday

Vintage 2011 is nearly upon us. Taking place at the Southbank Centre in London, Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway's three-day extravaganza, celebrating everything that is cool from the 1940s to the 1980s, kicks off this Friday, 29th July.

Part of the Southbank Centre’s celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain (22nd April-4th September), Vintage will take over six floors of the Royal Festival Hall, which was designed and built for the original festival in 1951.

This ticketed section will feature clubs such as The Soul Casino, Let it Rock and The Warehouse from last year's event at Goodwood, along with some new faces such as The Studio and Prohibition Club. There will be a further 70 performances, catwalk shows and, of course, a vintage shopping village, which will be in the non-ticketed area outside the hall.

Members of the H&A team will be there, manning our very own Vintage Bazaar, which will be crammed full of goodies for you to buy - expect Beefeater steak plates and 'vintage makes' from Folly and Glee, Something Fine, In the Parlour and Jane Foster.
