All manner of items come under the hammer at this sale, which includes Winston Churchill ephemera once belonging to Sir William Deacon, Churchill’s literary assistant and part of his entourage from the 1930s until Churchill’s death in 1965.

'The Churchill Papers' comprise a collection of letters, Christmas cards, invitations, photographs, telegrams and notes. 

We’re also expecting keen interest in a beautiful selection of postal scales, a George III sampler (£80-£120), a glass ‘Shell Economy’ petrol pump globe (£80-£150), pictured, a Victorian lady’s vanity box (£150-£200), a Victorian fruitwood nutcracker (£100-£150), and a Victorian mahogany games compendium (£200-£300).
