Your chance to appear on TV

Presenter Paul Martin and the team behind hit TV show Flog It! will be holding valuation days at De Montfort Hall in Leicester on Saturday 18th May and the Discovery Museum in Newcastle on Saturday 25th May. If you're close by, take up to three of your prized possessions along to be valued by the experts, who may put your heirlooms forward for auction and you could appear on the show.

You never know what riches you may have lurking in your home, and Flog It! could offer you the potential of making a tidy sum of money while enjoying a day out.

Hazel Edwards, Discovery Museum manager, said: 'We're looking forward to welcoming new and regular visitors to the museum and seeing what treasures they bring along to be valued. There's lots to see and do here so we're hoping people will make a day of it and marvel at our own treasures from the Turbinia, the first ship to be powered by steam turbine, and some of the world's oldest electric light bulbs.'

Last year, thanks to the show, a rare Aboriginal shield that was hidden away in a viewer’s wardrobe was sold for £30,000.

To be in with a chance of appearing on the weekday show, take your antiques and collectables along to a venue between 9.30am and 4pm.
