With our Christmas issue already out, we're thinking ahead to the spring

With our Christmas issue already out (yes already! Take a look at it here), we're thinking ahead to the spring.
It seems that come 2014 soft, organic colours will the order of the day and our favourite collection from what we've seen so far has to be at John Lewis.
'Croft', their new in-house brand will grow each season with new products being continually added, much like their established permanent line, 'House'.
Unlike the bright colours of the 'House' collection, 'Croft' will have lots of neutrals, greys and faded blues and use British woods and textures. It is evocative of the utility look but with an understated feel, featuring pieces such as industrial-inspired pendant lights in soothing greys.
Our stylist's picks from 'Croft': Gorgeous textured blankets and cushions, the industrial lights and the 'Peir' French sofa in grey (above) which looks great alongside the 'Tunstall' floor lamp.
'Tunstall' floor lamp, £180; 'Peir' French grey Berwick sofa, £1300; 'Glendale' bench, £599
'Expressions' (above), is a smaller textile and wallpaper range, with fluid and abstract patterns and shapes in pretty Spring tones. Inspired by the artist's studio and the spontaneity that accompanies an art class, we love its slightly bohemian feel.
Lime 'Pom Pom' fabric, £30 per m; 'Alabaster' hurricane lamp, £25; Lime 'Brush Strokes' fabric, £20 per m; Purple 'Confetti' fabric, £30 per m
We were also delighted to hear that the John Lewis team have announced a fab Danish-inspired 'Why Wood' dining table and chair. It already looks like a design classic and would fit easily into any vintage-lovers home (especially ours!)
'Why Wood' dining table, £399; 'Why Wood' chairs £125; 'Mint Cuisine' large mug, £8; Lime 'Windsor' paper placemat, £4 each.
