Ellie Tennant

Ellie Tennant is a freelance journalist, stylist and author, who has regularly contributed in-depth features to H&A for over a decade on a plethora of fascinating subjects, from majolica to ships in bottles. Her H&A highlights to date include a visit to Middleport Pottery in Stoke-On-Trent to report on the revival of a traditional industry, exploring the thriving antiques shops of Edinburgh and shooting a collection of Swan teapots on the Cornish coast. Ellie enjoys writing and consulting for a range of leading magazines and brands, as well as publishing and editing books. She began her career working in-house at Hearst and Time Inc. on titles such as House Beautiful and Ideal Home before going freelance in 2011. Today, she lives in South Oxfordshire with her husband and their three young children. When she’s not writing, she grows flowers and vegetables on her allotment, escapes to Pembrokeshire whenever she can and spends as much time as possible enjoying the natural world.
