Poet’s Corner

For two years this was the home of a prolific 19th-century Romantic poet. Today, it’s a museum. The darling of English literature is said to have penned one of his odes beneath a plum tree in the garden. He fell in love with the girl next door and became secretly engaged to her; she was his muse and is thought to be the subject of Bright Star. Tragically, he died aged just 25 but is immortalised through his words, which are much celebrated today.

The prize

If you think you know this month’s mystery home, you could be in with a chance of winning this Vegetable Garden Lemons half-pint mug, worth £19.95, from queen of colourful ceramics Emma Bridgewater. Based in the heart of the Potteries in Stoke- on-Trent, Emma’s factory has been that little bit more special since 1985. To see the full range, visit emmabridgewater.co.uk
