Portugal’s second largest city recently welcomed M.Ou.Co., a new hotel and cultural space. The 62-bedroom hotel in Porto features a 50-seater restaurant, a bar, a garden with al fresco dining, an outdoor swimming pool, a music library, musical instruments for free hire and a concert hall with a capacity of 180 seated and 300 standing guests.
A former warehouse, M.Ou.Co. is today a contemporary space in Bonfim, a neighbourhood that is a must-visit part of central Porto as it remains so authentic and relatively unchanged. Following a meticulous redevelopment, M.Ou.Co.’s 5,000 square metres have been transformed into a welcoming, modern space, filled with light.
The motto at M.Ou.Co. is ‘Stay. Listen. Play.’ All guests are invited to listen to five vinyls in their bedrooms and these can be selected from the Music Library. M.Ou.Co. also has a diverse programme of music concerts coming up featuring national and international musicians.
The prize
