The 24th September 2008 was a momentous day. On this date the directors of Historic House Hotels handed the company over to the National Trust – the largest gift the charity has ever received. The three estates, Hartwell House, Middlethorpe Hall and Bodysgallen Hall, were gifted to ensure the protection of their historical significance. Managed by Historic House Hotels, the three establishments are run to the highest standards, providing guests with a truly unique experience.

Hartwell House in Bucks is a Grade I-listed property standing in over 90 acres on the edge of the Chilterns. Middlethorpe Hall is the only country house hotel in the city of York and is the perfect base to combine both a rural and urban experience. Bodysgallen Hall is Grade I-listed and enjoys a privileged location in North Wales with spectacular views of Snowdonia. Each hotel has an award-winning restaurant and spa with pool. Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 years or older, excluding employees of promoter or employees (and their immediate families) of the prize supplier or any other companies associated with the draw.

There are three prizes in total.
Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and not for resale. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, promotions or discounts. There is no cash alternative.
Closing date for entries is 14th January 2019 at 11.59pm.
Three winning entries will be chosen at random from all eligible entries.
The winners will be notified of their win within 28 days of the closing date, by phone or email.
The winners must claim their prize within 3 days of notification. In the event that a winner does not claim their prize within 3 days, another winner will be drawn at random.
The draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prize must be taken by 6th December 2019.
Prize, room type and menu are all subject to availability. Prize is valid Sunday to Thursday, excluding Christmas, Easter and UK public holidays. For Middlethorpe Hall, prize cannot be taken over York Race days Weds 15th to Fri 17th May, Weds 21st to Fri 23rd August and Sun 8th September.
Travel to and from your hotel of choice is not included.
