The large sitting room upstairs is around 40 feet long due to this part of the building having once been a great hall. This is David’s favourite room and he displays some of his best-loved pieces here, including the mulberry wood Queen Anne bureau and the 19th-century leather upholstered chaise longue. David buys modern pieces too, such as the six-foot-tall Murano glass uplighter, seen on the far left.
